Not everyone can get justice the traditional way—that’s where Estlyn Collins comes in. A young lawyer in Santa Monica, her "legal" service, After Twelve, works outside the courtroom to tip the scales when the justice system has failed.

For a price.

Thanks to her powerful underground network, Estlyn's success rate is stellar, and her inbox stays filled with inquires from the desperate and vengeful. But when one of those names is a ghost from her past seeking vengeance against her, she’s shaken to her core. Off balance and scared to be alone, she makes an impulsive move for a guy. He’s a complication she doesn’t have time for, but it turns out he may also be an unlikely—if unwitting—asset.

Treading the rapidly thinning line between personal and professional, Estlyn pursues her target while outrunning the one on her own back—only to find she may be running into a lot more than she bargained for.

IF SHE WERE BLIND is the first book in the engaging New Adult series AFTER TWELVE by author Laney Wylde. Perfect for fans of THE HATE YOU GIVE by Angie Thomas, and television shows like REVENGE, SCANDAL, and VERONICA MARS, the AFTER TWELVE Series is a gritty social-issue drama that delivers steamy romance, intrigue, and the most bittersweet revenge plots. Estlyn's determination to right every wrong is sure to quench your thirst for justice, yet leave you wanting more.

  • Truly perfect

It’s hard to find a “good” free book but this book truly captivated me! Great writing, love the characters, entertaining, and made me feel every emotion.
  • Meh at best

While I understood the story I think the author could’ve developed the characters a little more. Some of the storylines seemed unnecessary. It took Cal too long to put the pieces together. And the whole revenge cop angle was horrible.

  • Awesome!

I love how the book is from different characters perspectives in each chapter and how we get to go back and forth in the main characters lives. It was a really good book! If your unsure I recommend it💞.
  • Worth your time

If Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder had a baby and it were a book, it would be this book. It’s a fun mix of current events, legal thriller (not boring at all I promise!), some mystery, and romance. I couldn’t wait to see what the main character would do next and finished the book in one sitting!

Taking a break from social media and was looking for books to read and i came across this book. After reading the first few pages i was hooked. This is really a great book and it keeps you wondering what will happen next! Can’t wait to read the rest of the After Twelve series!! 👌👌
  • So good! I want books 2, 3, and all the other ones this author can give!

I love this book. It’s written so well, and talks about important social issues without making you feel like you’re being preached to and without taking away from the thrilling plot. I was worried when I saw a review from one reader about it being vulgar. But what that reviewer didn’t share about the quote they put in their review is that this was an intimidation tactic used in the plot, not a part of a romance scene. Those were steamy but classy with just the right amount of heat I like. I’m so ready to dive into book 2.
  • Vulgar

After just a few sentences into the book, I come to the phrase “black girls with tight p*ssies”. This didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to see what race the author was. She, of course, is a white female. I decided not to finish reading .
  • Amazing Story
